Carol Anstey

Carol is the broker/owner of Re/Max Realty Professionals, servicing the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador.  Carol is the owner of offices in Deer Lake, Corner Brook, Stephenville and Happy Valley Goose Bay.  She had her start in the real estate business as a single sales agent and has grown her business to a thriving multi office brokerage.  She has proven herself to be a leader in the industry with growth of market share from 40 percent at the inception of her ownership to 70-80 percent in the markets in which she operates in.  The company started with 14 sales agents and has grown to 24, productive agents, all with a passion and proven track record in their business.

Her impact on the real estate industry reaches far beyond the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador as she is a consultant and program coach working with small and mid-sized real estate and mortgage brokerages all across North America.  Carol guides her clients through a strategic growth plan, a financial management plan, a recruiting and retention plan.  She also assists her clients with creating culture, leading their teams and setting goals.  Her success in consulting comes from her desire to leverage her success through difficulty and impart her knowledge and skills that make her business successful and help others to be successful.

Carol would tell you she has been an entrepreneur her whole life as she grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Deer Lake, Newfoundland where her father owned and operated an island wide video leasing business during her formative years.  This created the strong work ethic that Carol has today.

Carol and Dwayne have been awarded with the Top Employer award – Deer Lake Chamber of Commerce, Community Service Award – NL Association of Realtors, Broker of the Year Award – Re/Max Integra, Top Transactions Award in Atlantic Canada, Top Agent – Top Agent Magazine, Chairman Club award – Re/Max Canada, along with several other sales awards.

Carol, her husband Dwayne along with their four children are active volunteers and community leaders.

Carol has also served her community through her work on the Santa Stroll Committee, Run for the Red – Happy Valley Goose Bay, NLAR committee for the revisions to the Real Estate Trading Act, Vice- President – Deer Lake Chamber of Commerce, Rotarian – Corner Brook Rotary Club and she has supported many other groups and charities.  She has also been involved in overseas missions work, travelling to Thailand and the Dominican Republic where her and a team of volunteers built a home for a deserving family.

She has helped many other women entrepreneurs grow and thrive in their small businesses by housing them in her own commercial space, mentoring them and giving them tools to help them succeed.

Carol’s strong community commitment and entrepreneurial spirit is what makes Carol passionate about real estate, mentoring and her volunteer work.  She strives to bring both components to her own organization within the culture of her offices and within her coaching.  Success for her is watching others grow, reach new levels within their business and implement strategies that not only bring success to their organization but success and growth within the entrepreneur.

Carol holds a bachelor of Arts degree from Acadia University and a Paralegal Diploma from Academy Canada and she also holds a degree from the school of hard knocks where she learned how to persevere, be resilient, focused and successful.
